  3. the phone within the specified number of attempts.  A failed attempt
  4. could be caused by either a busy signal, no answer, or no carrier
  5. before the modem time's out.  In the case of a failed attempt, you
  6. will not be allowed to use the call back verifier again and should
  7. leave a message to the System Operator on your next call.
